The Aichi Center for Japanese Studies is a non-profit, specialist center for Japanese studies based at the Yamasa Institute in the city of Okazaki, in Aichi Prefecture. For email addresses and contact details please click here. Funded by the Hattori Foundation (established in 1919), the center teaches Japanese, Japanese linguistics, and modern Japanese culture to international students. Whether you choose to study on campus or via distance learning, for a short duration intensive course, a graduate diploma, or even an educational holiday, the center can offer you affordable, high quality and flexible programs and support. This website has been published since 1997 and aims to provide all the information you need before, during and after your studies. Learning Japanese takes time, and you never really finish learning - for this reason considerable resources are being devoted to the Student Network, Alumni Network, and the Online Center for Japanese Studies. The center has the most advanced internet and information technology of any Japanese program provider in Japan. The content of the two key domains, yamasa.org and yamasa.tv are both developed entirely on campus. Nothing has been outsourced - all of the information you will be able to read, watch or listen to on our website was written, programmed and developed by students and graduates.
