Note 1: For homestays, the policy is that there is never more than one student per host family.
Note 2: Rent is calculated from the day of entry. Weeks are calculated in 7 day periods - ie a 7 week stay is 43-49 days etc.
Note 3: The minimum initial payment required by short course students is 4 weeks.
This may be paid in advance or on arrival. Please note that your chances of obtaining your number 1 preference is higher if you have paid in advance.
Note 4: (**) The accommodation fee for the hotel annexe includes a shuttle bus between the hotel and Institute campus.
Note 5: The cost of futons is not included in the accommodation fee except for the homestay and hotel options.
Note regarding extensions: If you need to extend your stay, please give the housing office at least 10-14 days notice.
As an alternative to payment in weeks, all options can be extended at a rate of 3000 yen per day. If you need to extend by 1 or 2 days, it will not cost you a full weeks rent.
