Director, International Office This is an on-going work-study position. The is usually only 1 position available at any given time. All applications should include a proposed SILAC start date. Please note that not all applications will be able to be accepted. If you are interested in the position you are advised to apply as early as possible. Please quote the REFERENCE NUMBER when applying for the position or asking for information about this position. Applications should include a full resume detailing education and experience. The resume should be in German with an English translation. The resume should be sent as a word document or as a html file. Introduction: The International Office of the Hattori Foundation requires urgent assistance with the translation of documents, files and publications from English to German. The position is for 3 months. Anybody who meets the entry requirements of the Aichi Center for Japanese Studies for an 8 week SILAC program is eligible to apply, provided they are a native speaker of German and meet the requirements below. Computer Skills: The applicant should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and understand basic html programming. Education Background: No specific requirements, however the applicant will need to prove via documentation and interview, a high degree of English language proficiency and an ability to translate accurately from English to German. Travel: Overnight travel is not required, although the intern may be required to make day trips with staff members during Discovery tours as a general assistant or photographer. Salary and Conditions: The position requires full time studies in the SILAC program for 8 weeks with part-time work in the International Office for 4 hours per day. This will be followed by 4 weeks of full-time work experience in the International Office. There is no salary for this position. However the student will have their accommodation paid for them for 12 weeks, and their tuition refunded in full at the end of the Workstudy.
