Issue 13 - Friday, 6th October 2000

MMMISO. The taste of Japan. In France, frogs legs and snails, in Britain soggy fish and chips, in Australia vegemite, in parts of Africa various insects, in China some things I prefer not to think about. In Japan, mouldy soy beans. Oishisou.

Next, stereotypes aside, we examine the marriage and dating situation of Japan, going undercover to discover the true facts about "compa" - what is it, who does it, where, why, and how. More details than you ever wanted to in a detailed cultural analysis. Honest.
