The Yamasa Institute Scholarships content

1) Full tuition scholarship during the agreed period of study.
This is subject to a review of academic performance and interview every 3 months.

2) Half tuition scholarship during the agreed period of study.
This is subject to a review of academic performance and interview every 3 months.

3) Quarter tuition scholarship during the agreed period of study.
This is subject to a review of academic performance and interview every 3 months.

The tuition scholarships above are usually provided either alone or in combination with

4) Living expenses stipend
During the first 3 months in Japan, the Hattori Foundation may provide a Stipend not exceeding 50,000 yen per month (net) to help the student meet their living expenses. Extension of this stipend is sometimes possible but is dependent on good academic results and is subject to an interview.

AND/OR

5) Accommodation Allowance
During the first 3 months in Japan, the Hattori Foundation may provide an Accommodation Allowance not exceeding 30,000 yen per month (net) to help the student meet their accommodation expenses. The allowance will be valid for accommodation arranged by the student housing office of the Yamasa Institute only. Extension of this stipend is sometimes possible but is dependent on good academic results and is subject to an interview.

AND/OR

6) Textbook Allowance

The student will receive an allowance not exceeding 20,000 yen per academic year for the purchase of textbooks and Institute supplied study materials.
