Another view of the end of the ramp, again taken from the angle provided by the adjoining chair lift. Please note that while the ski jump appears to rise, this is again an optical illusion. You can see the markers providing the perspective needed by a jumper to gauge distance, and the safety zone below the take off point that is designed to minimize injuries should something go wrong during the glide.

The large black object to the left of the ramp is a signals box. The lights give officials, media and spectators immediate notification of the commencement of a glide, and is visible from every part of the stadium below.
