The kiosk inside the start house (observatory). The sign above the counter translates at "Japan's highest quality ice cream", while the English language sign to the right claims it as Sapporo's most delicious ice cream. The sign on the counter itself reminds patrons not to eat the ice creams on the chair lift. Sapporo beer is 500 yen.

The start house also has powerful binoculars, which on a fairly clear day will be enough to see as far as Ishikari Bay, and across the entire city of Sapporo.
