Final alignment. This is (almost) the view that a jumper has just before starting the glide. The ramp in front of him appears to rise, but is actually an optical illusion (the take off ramp does not rise). Note the small green markers at either side of the glide path (and in the center). These markers are leaves, and are extremely important to provide a visual perspective to the ski jumper. During white out conditions jumping is suspended, but even during good conditions it can be difficult without markers to obtain and retain depth perception.
