Adding Personal Homepages
Students and staff are invited to add personal homepages to the yamasa.org community. As of July 2003, around 50MB of server space is provided free to any enrolled student. The definition of enrolled student is for 1 year from the date of enrollment into any course listed in the ACJS Program Catalog (regardless of whether it is for 4 weeks or 12 months), or in the case of long term students in the academic programs studying for more than 12 months, 1 year from the completion of the first 12 months of full time study. In the case of OCJS students, any student with a standard level password is immediately eligible, for the duration of the password. Graduates of the Institute who no longer have a valid student ID card can still maintain pages on the network, for very low cost - the same as a standard level password.
To obtain server space and FTP access, you need to know your user name (or student ID number) and password. If you Do Not have a username and password providing you with access to the OCJS, please click here. If you already have a username and password, and are ready to apply for server space, please click here.
Please note that the allocated server space can be increased above 50MB in certain circumstances. This is done in order to support research and development activities undertaken by members of the network. In most cases the space is provided to any student/staff member providing information and/or study resources, or conducting any form of research, programming, or development of software or other services of assistance to students of the Japanese language.
